Ghanaian reggae-dancehall artiste Shatta Wale did not make it to this year’s 100 Most Influential Young African List. Notable on the list however was his arch rival, dancehall star, Stonebwoy. Shatta Wale has over the years bragged about how popular he is home and abroad, as he has a massive fan base he calls Shatta Movement. However, the self-acclaimed dancehall king, was not named among the 100 most influential young people on the continent. Other popular Ghanaians on the list include, steller news anchor Nana Aba Anamoah and Nana Appiah Mensah, Menzgold Ghana and Zylofon Media CEO . While Ghana got eight names on the list, Nigeria, South Africa and Tanzania led the list with 20, 17 and 12 representatives respectively. South African musician, Nasty C and Social Entrepreneur, Wadi Ben, from Nigeria, were the youngest names on the list at 21 years. Author-Augustine Addo BET Award-wining rapper, Michael Owusu Addo, popularly known as Sarkodie, has congratulated Dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale on his three-year deal with Zylofon Music. Minutes after the announcement was made, the ‘Baby Mama’ hitmaker took to Twitter to wish Shatta Wale well. He further commended the Zylofon CEO, Nana Appiah Mensah for projecting the creative arts Industry to higher heights. The post read: “Congrats champion @shattawalegh on your New Deal,” wrote Sarkodie. “Mr. Appiah definitely here to support the industry… up up and up !!!” Shatta Wale has committed to a three-year deal with Zylofon Media, owned by Nana Appiah Mensah. The host of ‘You Say Wetin’ on Hitz FM, Prince Tsegah has advised dancehall musician Shatta Wale to wear condoms before he engages in sex.  Speaking in an interview with Price Tsegah, the award-winning dancehall artiste blamed the lack of condom use as the main reason he has three children with three women.  “…Then, I no dey like am but now I dey like…,” he exclaimed.  Shatta Wale, however, debunked perceptions that he does not cater for the two children (Cherissa and Jedidiah) because he is not close to them.  Asked whether his two other children will recognize him if they see him, he responded in the affirmative, saying his children call him “Chaaaaaampioon!!!!’” It is against this backdrop that Prince Tsegah advised the ‘Dancehall King’ to wear condoms if he thinks he is not ready to have kids.  According to him, Shatta Wale ‘has to do what is right.
